Creating beautiful family portraits every season is a wonderful gift and I am grateful that I have found joy in such a wonderful career! Today, I wanted to share a little bit about this adorable family session and what goes into creating these memorable portraits.

This family was an absolute dream! From a picture perfect location and weather to adorable matching outfits, the afternoon was a breeze. The key to creating these fun loving sessions for my clients relies on two factors.

Keep It Real

Short, sweet, and a little bit silly! That is my motto for every family session I have no matter the age of the kids.

Make It Fun: I bring all sorts of fun toys ranging from bubbles to rubber duckies. Every time I change up the background and pose, I have something new and fun for everyone to get involved.

Keep It Real: I like to keep posing everyone to a minimum to keep everyone the most comfortable and relaxed. For instance, in the photo below I asked Mom & Dad to pick up Thane and give him some love. That brought on lots of cheeky smiles and giggles! The best expressions are the natural ones. If I would pose the family even more, I would have missed out on these precious little moments.
