Family is one of the greatest blessings to have. The support and love that emanates from families is an indescribable amount. I love photographing families, big or small, to attempt to capture the genuine love. 

Now as you can imagine, it can be tricky figuring out how to best show this emotion as a photographer. My favorite way is to just let the families be themselves and it comes naturally. Trying to pose and manage every movement is too difficult, stressful for myself and the family, and most of all unnatural. In the image above, Bennett was just on the move that evening. Instead of trying to pose the family together, I followed Bennett around wherever he decided to go. In this case, he was discovering the funny thing I was holding that kept flashing and making noise! Many of my images are candid and that seems to be the most fun for everyone involved especially kids!

As I said above, Bennett was on the move, places to go, things to see! I took advantage of that by having the family walk towards me. I got on Bennett's level to capture such an adorable shot! Bennett seemed to have a blast walking back and forth for this shot, I think he thought it was a game to run after the photographer!
