I am excited to share that Gretchen Elaine Photography will be venturing further into the wedding side of photography! I have photographed weddings in the past, but I am now going to participate in an upcoming Best of Wedding Showcase Expo in January 2018!

In preparation of this big investment, I decided to do a mock bridal photo shoot. By planning this session, I was able to shoot in one of my favorite seasons, Autumn. I absolutely love the colors and the cozy feeling of any fall sessions.

My absolute favorite part of photographing weddings are the "formal photos" after the ceremony. I love the images of the bride and groom together and separately in different locations like these examples featured today. In my mind, the formal photo time is not meant to just capture the emotions and the different events happening at the moment. This is the time to create the photos that are meant to be THE show-stopping "wow" image of the day. The best part about creating this amazing image is that every single wedding is different and that "wow" image will never be the same from wedding to wedding. 

Since each wedding is different, the "wow" shot could be something completely different for every couple. I love challenging myself with creating new ways to get this amazing shot. This goal is probably the biggest way I show my creative eye with every wedding I photograph.
